A lot of us use tail wire braces to stiffen a too flexible empennage.  The terminals used to secure the wire to the horizontal and vertical tail surfaces should not be the plated copper electrical ones available at auto and hardware supply stores.  Nickel plated steel high temperature terminal are much more durable.  These are most commonly used in kitchen appliances.  An economical source is an EBAY store, Casey Electric
